Performance measurement is the process of collecting, analyzing and/or reporting information regarding the performance of an individual, group, organization, system or component.

An employee evaluation is the assessment and review of a worker's job performance. Most companies have an employee evaluation system where in employees are evaluated on a regular basis . Typically these assessments are done at year end or on the employee's service anniversary.

Set new goals. The most productive employees are those that are constantly driven, and unrelenting in their pursuit of goals. Setting achievable targets during the appraisal helps to motivate employees, and empowers them to feel more confident when they hit them.
